Plenary Meeting of the European Judicial Network

European Judicial Network in criminal matters meets in Prague 10. - 11. November 2022. 59th Plenary meeting is a unique and special occasion to establish personal contacts, maintain and deepen them. This is a prerequisite for the successful functioning of the network and thus for efficient judicial cooperation in criminal matters.

"The Ministry of Justice strives to ensure that all its activities in the framework of the Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU are as practically oriented as possible. That is why we have chosen as the topic of the European Judicial Network in Criminal Matters a very important area of cooperation for practice, which is special investigative measures. We will therefore focus on specific problems that arise in the application of institutes such as cross-border surveillance, monitored consignments or interception of telecommunications traffic," said Deputy Minister of Justice Zuzana Fišerová in her introductory remarks.

Over the years, EJN has hugely progressed, developed its activities, actively participated in the preparation of EU legislation in the area of judicial and criminal cooperation and always tried to provide help to practitioners where needed, including developing contacts with third countries.
